Chemical Peels - Skin Peeling

If you want to minimize or remove the skin damage from the sun, then it's time for a Chemical Peel from Caddell's.

Chemical peels, or skin peeling, involves an application of a chemical solution to sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented, and finely wrinkled facial areas. The chemical peels or skin peeling procedure is meant to diminish imperfections by peeling away the skin's top layers, resulting in improved texture of the skin. It also smooths the skin. Facial skin is mostly treated although the neck, décolleté and hands can also be treated.
The chemical peels or skin peeling vary according to their specific ingredients and their strength. Depth of skin peeling action may also depend on factors such as how long solutions remain on the skin and whether they are lightly applied, or more heavily or vigorously applied.

Is it time to improve the texture of your skin?

In the chemical peels procedure, a special chemical solution is applied on the facial skin to improve the texture of the skin and make it smooth. The damaged outer layers of skin are peeled off to reveal the underneath fresh skin and give the face a dynamic glow.
Your Caddell's Esthetician will select the best chemical or chemical mix for your skin peels process. A solution is applied using a sponge, cotton pad, cotton swab or brush to the areas to be treated (or the entire face, avoiding the eyes, brows and lips). Generally, the most superficial skin peels are those using alpha hydroxy acids, such as Glycolic. The Jessner Peel is stronger than the Glycolic, it is excellent for oily skin and patients with acne. A trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel is stronger, and has a greater depth of peel compared to the Glycolic.

Sun screens are strongly recommended with all Chemical Skin Peel treatments. Skin pores may appear larger, and the skin may not tan evenly following a chemical peel.
